1. THE SYSTEM

1.1. Optical system and visibility

All our equipments use Laser technology with 905nm wavelength (infrared). Our devices are purely optical

systems with important electronic processing and softwares.

Every optical systems are sensitive to visibility variations. Thanks to the laser power and a complex

algorithm, only severe meteorological conditions can make the detection range decreasing about 20%

maximum (fog, snow, heavy rain).

For sea approach applications, the swell is not a problem and the detection of small crafts, with low

speed, can be made. However, the foam detection can not be avoided.
